I just had news today of a dear friend from Ricks who has just been diagnosed with a rare form of non-hodgkins lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes)- stage 4. Just finishing up dental school, the most beautiful wife in the world and 3 handsome sons. We all feel so young, and he is...never would imagined. He is as granola and healthy as you get. Cancer does not discriminate. Oh my prayers are with you Megan and Eric, sincerely with you...
Just hug your babies tighter tonight, our lives are completely in the hands of our Creator. We must follow Him faithfully, for that is where lies all safety.

Every girl needs pink boots!
I am a firm believer that every little girl needs a pair of pink boots! Karly walks around saying "Mom - BOOTS!" all the time. She couldn't wait to join her brothers out in the snow this week and of course I had to make sure she was decked out - all in pink of course (well, I am not that particular and most of you know, but that's just what we happen to have)! She wasn't sure at first but then ended up loving it. All she could say over and over again as she stomped in the snow was "Squoosh!" "Squoosh!" "Squoosh!" Apparently she loves the sound of the crunchy snow. It was so fun to watch her, up until she fell down face first - that was way to close for comfort with the snow and she decided she was outta there.
p.s. I just couldn't bare to tell Joe that skateboards weren't made for snow, he thought it was a great invention!
p.p.s. If these boots are cute, just wait until I post a picture of her new PINK cowgirl boots! I had NO IDEA having a girl would be this much fun!!!! LOVE IT!
Humanitarian Art Show
Dallin and Mikey have been working on Art Projects for months in preparing to hold their first Art Exhibit! They hosted family and friends this last weekend and sold their art to raise money for our West Indies Service Project. They did such a great job showing everyone around and explaining their pieces. Each one has a title - it was so fun to see the descriptions of how they felt about their art! We appreciate all the wonderful friends who were able to come and help them feel important - THANK YOU!!!

Happy Halloween!
We had one of the best Halloween's we have ever had as a family this year! Mike's firm hosted a huge Trick or Treat bash and after hitting 5 floors of attorneys and secretaries spoiling our kidlets, they could barely hold their treat baskets...no need for evening Trick or Treating! Then Mike took the rest of the day off and we went to pick out our pumpkins to carve. All our buddies in our cul-da-sac hadn't carved theirs either so we got together, rocked out to Halloween tunes and played fun party games. As evening came we visited Mike's parents who let the kids Trick or Treat for their favorite cold cereal box (so cute!) then headed back to the neighborhood for the rest of the night. We have such a great group of people we get to live by and friends of all ages were out visiting as we sipped hot chocolate and threw footballs in the rain.
It was so much fun! And by the way, am I the only one who agrees that Halloween Candy has really taken it up a notch since I was a kid? I was so happy if I could get 3 or 4 mini candy bars...this is just a small sample of this years loot!
