The start of a blogging era for the Ballard's

We finally did it! After many dear friends insisting that life isn't worth living unless you have a blog to share it on, I succumbed to creating the Ballard's Blog! I didn't realize how technically unsavy I was until now, so this is our first shot. Here we go...
We recently celebrated our 1 year mark in our new home, feels like we just moved in. We love it all the same and have really been blessed to be in such a fantastic neighborhood. It is funny how when you are first married all you seem to talk about is getting through school, the "some days," and what you want to be when you grow up. Then you grow up and have kids and all you talk about is feedings, sleepless nights and diapers, lots of diapers, and when you will finally have your first "real job." Then you get the job and all you talk about is owning a home and how you will decorate it. Then you finally own a home (still working on the decorating part) and all you talk about is GRASS! Now that we have grass, all we seem to talk about is plants and trees, mulch and sprinklers. Who knew it would be so much fun! So needless to say, we have had a blast with our landscaping.
The boys have started school and just love it. Mikey and Dallin are only one year apart there so they see each other tons. Took us a good year to get all situated and comfortable with our new area, but finally I think they are really fitting in and enjoying themselves. So many good friends to get to know...
Football runs our life right now. Mikey's in tackle and Mike helps coach, while Dallin is in flag and I am his cheerleader! Those little boys run so fast and just love the game. Mike has gotten them faithfully addicted to BYU Football and as a family we love following the games. Joey by far does the best Cougar Shout!
Karly is such a little sweet thing, she tip toes around the house, spins while I play the piano, and sings in her crib while she politley waits to be gotten out by one of her brothers. What a treasure she is in our home.
We got to host Mike's family reunion this year with his sister Celest. He has an amazing family of hard working people who do their best to take care of each other. His grandparents had four children years ago and now you can see what happened! We even have a chunk of cousins who weren't able to be there. It was a wonderful weekend.

Playing at the park in the freezing "spring time"! The 4th of July was a bit warmer...
